Take Flight

More stash moving on .... say good-bye to CTMH Ivy Lane.    It was GREAT for our flower pages this summer and a couple girls night out/ birthday pages but it's time to make room! 
I also found an old Hollyhock Set of Ribbon Rounds. ... oh my, how old are those?   Aahhh 

This weekend was the Operation Write Home Virtual Card Making Party!  woohoo...it made for a very fun crafty few days at my house which was a great way to celebrate the holiday weekend.   This is the 0800 Saturday 070514 Challenge ... a card with "wings".  (You do know I didn't do this at 0800, right?!  LOL!)   I used OWH Sketch #202.   It was also the perfect paper for the  "Inaugural Challenge Post" for the Anything Goes Color Challenge over at Take Heart Ideas.

woohoo,  Happy Monday!  After a terrific weekend of celebrating (and time off) it's time to get back to work.   That's ok, new week and new challenges.

This fun card design is this week's Friends That Scrap July Card Sketch.  Since it was Operation Write Home Card Making Party this weekend,  I combined it with 070414, Challenge #4 to make a Red, White and Blue birthday card.  

It was also a good time to use up More of my  Old CTMH Stash since July is Retirement Month and new goodies come out in August.  Get those products used up because there are a lot of new and fun stuff to add.

Celebrating Freedom ... Kaboom!

Yahoo!  Yahoo!  It's the 4th of July and it's time to CELEBRATE our Freedom!  What a GREAT country we live in.  I'm so appreciative for all the men and women that defend our country, "freedom is definitely not free".    I love fireworks ... the colors, the sparkle and of course, the "kaboom"!!

In the Moment

Woohoo!   Happy Friday Ya'll ... what's super fun is I'm off for a weekend of good times with my Upline and CTMH Team.  Looking forward to our get-away.  It's kind of a bummer that I didn't get to go to CTMH Convention this year but I'm super excited for the NEW Inspiration Book and products that will be coming out in August.  Until then,  I already have lots of really great stuff  in my Stash to keep using.

Today is another GREAT Color My Heart Color Dare #100.   It's time to use Barn Red, Pacifica and Crystal Blue.  I wasn't sure what I was going to come up with, I was thinking a scrapbook page but of course when I wanted pictures, I couldn't find any that worked with these colors.  This card design is from the Deconstructed Sketch site,  I just can't find the sketch number after I finished it, LOL.

Christmas in June ?

LOL!   Well...not really but it's a GREAT time to start getting my Christmas Cards made.  It makes for a much calmer holiday season if I get them done early AND they actually get mailed out much more timely.   All good ... here's 20 more for the Christmas Stash.

Welcome Monday!  Just recently I've heard the phrase, "Each New day is a gift." Looking at it that way, even Monday's don't seem so bad.  It's a good start to the week and it's Summer now so who's complaining, LOL! 

This cute card sketch is from Viva la Verve June Week #2.   I love all the layers.  This seemed like a fun card to make for our CTMH Team Meeting this week so I made one for all of my team mates for our card swap.  I really like this Skylark paper.  I added the fun Triangle Studs for the Heart 2 Heart Week 1 Challenge, add studs.

Ahhh... another fun, relaxing Saturday at my house.  I was getting a little worried because my MOJO has seemed to go on vacation but it felt good tonight that it was back.  I've got a week of travel coming up for work so getting some fun stuff done this weekend, was key.

Welcome Summer 14!

Woohoo ... officially...the first day of Summer!  It's feeling good with lots of sunshine and warm temps so far.   I hope that we can get out for some "camping" time this year.  Please note,  I'm not at all a "diehard" camper, nope,  I need a sink for hand washing for contacts and shower but I do love S'Mores on the campfire, does that count?   LOL!   This card sketch is from The Deconstructed Sketch Challenge #110.

Trying Something Fun

This card is me trying something new and fun.  Thanks to the SCS VSN challenges, the background for this is called "Salted Backgrounds".   Kind of a fun technique to try.  I like how it came out.  Fortunately I did a few and just picked my faves, LOL.

Wild Times

There are days I miss when my boys were younger. I know there is a season for everything but I think my favorite ages were 8-12.  Now 20's, whew...where did the time go?     It was fun tonight to have the driveway full of guys shooting baskets with Gatorades all around and lots of trash talk, LOL.  It makes me happy when they can still get together for fun and games.   Maybe I'm the one that doesn't want to grow up?

This card is actually for a friend of mine at work whose wife just had their first baby.  I'm wishing them a blessing of life changes, haha.

Hugs and Wishes

Ahhh June,  Don' you love it when the flowers start blooming!  I've got rosebuds and my lilies are opening beautifully.  I really like this CTMH Ivy Lane paper, so fun to use with the flowered background.  This technique is a "Tole" technique shared during SCS VSN.  You stamped the same image, a little darker, cut it out and add layers just to give the image some depth.  It was exactly as I pictured but I do like how it came out.   Enjoy!

One's Destination

Ahhh...just back from vacation and struggling to get back into reality of every day busy-ness.  It was so nice to just disconnect for a week at the beach,  I felt truly blessed.    I hope June is a little less crazy than May was.   At least it has started out this way ...

Happy Birthday to my "baby" who is 20 today!   I'm so glad we got to be together on his birthday,  it's just not something you get used to as a Mom when they're older if you don't get to celebrate on the day with them. 

My card today was inspired from SCS VSN (Virtual Stamp Nights) Color Challenge - Lemonade!  It was a color challenge to use Yellow, Orange, and Green.  I also used the MOJO Monday #348 Card Sketch.  It was fun to be creating again!

Finally,  finally,  finally ... I was just sharing with my friend today that I have been missing my card creating MOJO for some time now and it was frustrating... however, I'm happy to report,  I think it's back somewhat.   Tonight I finished up some cards and I'm happy I found the Inspiration to get stamping again,  whew!   MOJO sure is quirky?   I'm going to credit it to the great morning I spent at coffee with friends.

A Blessed Sunday

What a FUN, FUN Weekend!   Yay for National Scrapbooking Day which was yesterday.  I had a great time scrapping with my Scrappy Friends over at SCS.   There were lots of pages done and inspiration shared.  

But today is a new day and it is time to make cards, especially a Mother's Day Card since it's next weekend and I need to get it in the mail tomorrow.   When my Mom sees this quote, she'll laugh!  She's gonna love it!

We Are Blessed

Had a great weekend as we spent a couple days up in Michigan visiting our youngest DS and his GF who are away at college.   We miss them and since it was the end of the term, it was a good time for a visit. 

Today I spent getting ready for a very busy week.  Glad for some stamping time.  This card was inspired by this week's Paper Players Sketch Challenge #193.  It's also my #4 card for our Round 2, 100x100 Challenge at SCS.   I hope to get 100 "unique" cards done for the challenge this round, but I guess no matter how many I finish, it's all good.

Rediscover

how VERY fun it is to be with my CTMH girlfriends at the CTMH ReDiscover Event in Detroit, Michigan!   I can't believe it worked out so I could attend but it did and I had a great time.  Lots of good info and inspiration.   

Speaking of inspiration,  today is Day #3 of Round 2 of our SCS "100x100" challenge.   If you have never done a challenge like this, the goal is to create a scrap page or card, 100 in 100 days.   It's very fun and is a great push to create daily.  The card sketch is MOJO Monday #337   I'll definitely photo my fun projects from tonight for my blog tomorrow!

Hello Tuesday

wait a minute ... come back sunshine!  I loved the 70 degree days we had this weekend but unfortunately, the nice temps didn't stay around ... we're back into the 40's today.  Oh well, still lovin' the Spring weather and glad to see the birds out and the daffodils budding. 

My card for today is inspired from MOJO Monday Sketch #340, I'm just catching up on a few I got behind on.   It's for Day #2 of the 2nd Round of our SCS "100x100" Card Challenge.

It's BACK ...

Ok, not only do I mean the Sunshine but Round #2 of our SCS "100x100" challenge!  Yes!  the 2nd round.  I did well, the first one,  I finished 184 cards, 71 different unique cards.   For all of January and February,  I had a card per day posted on my blog :)    I hope to do it again this round.  It's great for MOJO and especially using supplies.

No matter how many cards I get done for this round, I'll be happy.   My card today is inspired from this week's MOJO Monday #342.   Fun Sketch!  I hope too use it again soon as I have another idea for this one.
