Visiting Michigan

It seems so strange to write "visiting" on a page about Michigan...actually, it's still strange to go into the Visitor Center and know that we're "visiting". Michigan was home most of my life it's only been 4 years we've lived in Ohio. It does seem though that each time we go back, it feels less and less like "home" and more like visiting.

Page 1 is an old PageMaps Sketch for the July PM Challenge on sb.com. Page 2 is the sketch from this week's Scrappin' Silhouettes Scrap Challenge. I found the butterfly ribbon for $.25 in a sale bin at Michaels and I've been wanting to use it since I got it last year. It's been sitting too long in my stash! Positively Perfect Day!

Ok, so today wasn't so perfect...I was REALLY Lazy but last year Graduation Day for Brandon was what I would call PERFECT! We had such a good time. I'm so glad my Mom could come and join us. The weekend worked out wonderfully with the party on Saturday and Graduation on Sunday. I had all of these photos printed in 5x7 so I realized there wouldn't be much to the layout. Page 1 is from the Sketches In Thyme Challenge 6. These are some of my favorite colors from CTMH so I was excited it went well with these picts! Rock, Paper, Scissors --- Shoot!

On our last visit to Florida, my nephew learned a new game. You guessed it, "Rock, Paper, Scissors" and then he would yell "Shoot" which meant pick one! It was cute the first 50 times but by the end of the weekend especially when you're half awake, I think JT was tired of the game, LOL! What a character though! These papers were "holiday" papers but I was looking for something colorful to go with these picts. Page 1 is from this weeks Sketchy Thursday Challenge. Page 2 is from July Page Maps Sketch. Supplies: CTMH Evensong Paper, CTMH Doodle Alpha Stamps, CTMH Ink Cranberry, New England Ivy, CTMH Sparkles, Cricut Cartridges Cricut Sampler and All Mixed Up

A Gift For You!

I had fun working on these gift items this weekend. It was my goal to use some of the alterable items I've purchased over time once a month this year. I started out well but got sidetracked in April. I always like the items I see and I would purchase them thinking I would alter them later and then would not. Last year, I decided not to buy another alterable item until I completed some of the ones I already had purchased previously. I made 2 sets of this gift set - a My Creations Display Album and 2 altered clothes pins. One set is for my Mom, her b-day is Saturday and one is for a Secret Sister. Neither of the albums have pictures in them but the pages are all completed. It was perfect timing for the H2H Challenge - Anything But A Card! Supplies: CTMH Key To My Heart Paper Packet, CTMH Ribbon Rounds Creme Brulee, Cocoa, Juniper Ribbon Bulk, CTMH Just Blooms, CTMH Stamps Felicity Alphabets, CTMH Clear Buttons, Cricut Cartridge Cricut Sampler

Inspiration Shamu!

These were FUN pages to get done tonight -- Happy Memories! Earlier this year, JT and I had a chance to surprise my Mom on a visit to FL in March. We wanted to do something special with her so the 3 of us went to SeaWorld. We had such a nice day together! Of course, my favorite part was the Shamu Show! It was not only a great show that day but it was a wonderful time of good memories from when I brought the boys when they were younger! Good Times!! These pages are from Sketch Challenges from today's Sketch at Scrappin' Silhouettes (pg 2) and Even More Scrapping! (pg 1). Supplies: CTMH Stardust Paper, CTMH Stardust Stickease, CTMH CS Honey

Let's Go Again

Fun! Fun! This was from the current weeks CPC
Tuesday Challenge (CPCST65). I've been wondering if these stamps would work for cards or would I just use them on my scrap pages. As you can see here, I thought they worked great for this card. I'm going to send it to my SLT Card Partner this month who is a 10 yr old boy. Figured with these colors and stamps it would work! Thanks for stopping by to check it out! Supplies: CTMH Animal Cookies Creative Basics, CTMH Stamps Thrill Ride, CTMH Ink Tulip, Honey and Black, CM Star Punch, CTMH Bitty Brads

Big D

I wasn't sure what I was going to do with these photos until I saw this weeks Sketch Challenge at Sketchy Thursdays. It was perfect for showing off the Father's Day picts I snapped. My oldest son calls my husband "Big D". I wanted to capture this memory as every time he says it, I chuckle. Where he came up with that I don't know but it fits him. This photo is a good one of my boys! Supplies: CTMH Animal Cookies Creative Basics, CTMH Cranberry and Honey Cardstock, CTMH Stamps Doodle Alpha, CTMH Ink Cranberry, Cricut Cartridge Mini Monograms and Mothers Day, SU Scallop Loop Edge Punch.

Lovely

Tonight I decided to get a scrap layout done! I've been so busy making cards lately that my scrappin' has been neglected. OH to have more time! I probably wouldn't be as motivated though, well, at least that's what I tell myself? Tonights layout was inspired from my friend Cheryl's Sketch Challenge (Even More Scrapping!) She always posts a great sketch on Monday's and as soon as I saw it I knew what picts I wanted to use! I had to modify the sketch slightly because I had SO many photos I wanted to be sure to have CTMH Flip-Flap Spot for added photos! Those CTMH Flip-Flaps are SO awesome! I can't wait to see them in new sizes coming out from CTMH in the Fall! We visited the Cleveland Rose Garden on Father's Day and all the flowers were in full bloom and beautiful that day! Enjoy! Supplies: CTMH Precious Paisley Paper Pack, CTMH STamps Smiles, CTMH Ink Hollyhock, Breeze, Kiwi, CTMH Irresitable Letters, CTMH Textured Stickers,

It's a Favorite!

Ok, yes I know it's mid July and 90 + degrees here in Ohio lately but I just couldn't resist getting out my VERY favorite snowman stamps for this challenge! The paper was out for a scrap page I did last night and it called to me to use it for this challenge which goes so great with these CTMH Snow Friends. I really like this Jingle paper too! This sketch is for the Mojo Monday 147 Challenge. Fun, fun!! Supplies: CTMH Paper Jingle, CTMH Stamps Snow Friends, CTMH Ink Tulip, Juniper, CTMH Holiday Buttons, CTMH Juniper Grosgrain Ribbon, Stickles Icicle

Oh Yes! Scrappin'

I even got some scrappin' done this weekend - woohoo! This page is for the Scrap Challenge at Scrappin' Silhouettes. I missed last weeks upload time since I was traveling but this week I was able to get my page done this weekend. I'm so happy because JT's Scrapbook needed 1 for the last page. These family photos worked just great for that page. I also used the Jingle paper I did all of the Christmas pages in so it worked just perfectly! Thanks for checkin' in to see it!

Here's Another

Oh YES! I've been a busy, busy, busy stamper this weekend! Lots of challenges to get to after traveling this week! It feels good to get some cards and pages done! This one is for the CUTE Mojo Monday sketch from last week! I have been wanting to ink these stamps and I thought this sketch was perfect for this one! Thanks for checking it out! Truly Heart to Heart

This weeks H2H Challenge was to use a sketch from the CTMH Book Wishes. It's one I haven't tried before so I was excited to do the challenge. Unfortunately, I didn't get to it until this weekend since I was gone last weekend visiting family. It was perfect timing because I needed a card for a special CTMH Sister who is starting a new job and it's her birthday. I wanted her to know I was thinking of her and this worked just great! This size card is a little tricky since it's 4-3/4"x 3". I decided to use the Boom-di-ada CB paper since it seemed so like summer. Also the flower is from my Mothers Day Cricut Cart. Thanks for sharing this with me! Supplies: CTMH Boom-Di-Ada Creative Basics, Olive , Black, Bubblegum and Creme Brulee CS, Stamps are CTMH Smiles, Mothers Day Cricut Cartridge, Cuttlebug Birds and Swirls, CTMH Bitty Sparkles, CTMH Olive, Creme Bruless, Sweet Leaf Ink
