Stay Inspired

This past New Years Eve found me in a hotel traveling back home from a visit with family. We had such a great time together and of course as you've seen me mention, welcoming my new niece Sarah to the family. As I was thinking about all of the posts about New Years Resolutions and if I wanted to have some, I decided that I wanted to have "goals" instead of Resolutions. I was also searching for my "WORD" of the year. I had originally thought it would be "committed" because there were several areas of my life I wanted to be more committed to but that night as I checked in, I changed my mind. The key card said "Stay Inspired" and that my friends became my "WORD" (s) of the year. I loved that phrase, it sounded so much more positive! It also really felt like it fit all of the areas of my life, even my passion for stamping and scrapbooking! So I wish you a good 2012 and encourage you to Stay Inspired!

The sketch is from this week's Let's Scrap Sketch Challenge.

Good Times...Shared!

Tonight I actually had time to complete the Sassy Lil' Sketch Challenge for this week. Unfortunately, my Cricut has quit working...it just won't power up so I had to get creative to get a title and some embellishment on this page. Stamps, sparkles and doodles will have to do for now. Supplies: CTMH Evensong Paper, CTMH Stamps Magical Season, Doodle Alphabet, CTMH Holiday Tags

SCS Friends

L.O.A.D. (LayOut A Day) Challenge # - Use an Online Sketch. This sketch is from Sketchy Thursday Blog and worked perfectly for the picture I had of Kristin and me. I've been so fortunate to meet up with many of my SCS sisters in my work travels. I was especially surprised when Kristin said she was flying to Toronto with her hubby for his work. I had a meeting there so we coordinated the dates and were able to have dinner together one night. We laughed, talked and shared pictures, it was wonderful! Supplies: CTMH Bella, CTMH Just Blooms, CTMH Mini Chocolate, Brads, CTMH STamps Doodle Alpha, Make My Day, CTMH Ink Desert Sand

Big D

I wasn't sure what I was going to do with these photos until I saw this weeks Sketch Challenge at Sketchy Thursdays. It was perfect for showing off the Father's Day picts I snapped. My oldest son calls my husband "Big D". I wanted to capture this memory as every time he says it, I chuckle. Where he came up with that I don't know but it fits him. This photo is a good one of my boys! Supplies: CTMH Animal Cookies Creative Basics, CTMH Cranberry and Honey Cardstock, CTMH Stamps Doodle Alpha, CTMH Ink Cranberry, Cricut Cartridge Mini Monograms and Mothers Day, SU Scallop Loop Edge Punch.
