Dream Big

Happy Monday! This card is for Mojo Monday Challenge #119 (Mojo119). I'm hoping in 2010 I'll get to use these challenges more often. I also did this card for SCS CAS (Clean & Simple) Challenge (CAS47) to use a Disney theme. I'm not sure that "clean & simple" is my "style" but I tried. I do love Disney as it brings fond memories of taking the boys there when they were younger. Since all the family lives in FL, most times we were with them enjoying a good time at the theme park! Supplies: CTMH Paper Grins & Giggles, CTMH Ink Black & Cranberry, CTMH Stamps Sans Serif Lower Case, Gingham Ribbon Michaels, Paper Flowers and Paper Ribbon Unk,

Look Grandma!

I was feeling a bit nostalic and when I saw this picture I knew it was time to put it into a scrapbook page! This is my oldest son who is now 18. He's 3 in the picture and my Mom sent him Orlando Magic shirt/shorts. He was ready for basketball! I used CTMH Stamps, CM Star punches and SU! Ribbon. I'm not sure where the paper was from, it's been in my stash for awhile. The sketch is an older PageMaps Sketch.

Rustic Rooster

I received this stamp set as a gift and I've been wanting to try it out. Today for the Featured Stamper Challenge #150 at SCS, I decided to use it. It's not very "Christmas Like" but I was using scraps. Supplies: All SU! except for the Flowers

2010 Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers - #29

How Exciting! I'm joining a Group of Gals who have committed to keeping their blogs up-to-date with current info and lots of inspiration! I so needed the creative push to do this! I'm very excited to share my cards, altered items and scrap pages with more friends. Now that my sons are older, I have more time to devote to my scrapping and stamping. I've scrapbooked since 2002 but have just recently spent more time stamping and creating cards! What a fun 2010 Challenge to join! Welcome to my Blog! :)

A Beautiful Day

We had SUCH a good time just going away for the weekend before JT went back to school. We stopped for a late afternoon/early dinner picnic. We were headed to Toledo to the Zoo the next day. Scrapbook Supplies: CTMH Tinkering

Wow!

How time flies when you're not paying attention! Guess I wasn't because it's been months since I've posted on my blog. Not sure why because I've still been scrappin'? This is one of my latests pages and done for a challenge over at sb.com.

The page idea came from the 2009-10 SU! Holiday Mini. I'm usually not good at mixing/matching various papers but this one came out good. I even painted my chipboard for this page.

The Very Thought of You!

This layout was for a challenge at Scrap-Tastic!
and I love the way it came out! These pictures
are some of Brandon's Senior pictures and I love
the look, pose and colors. I'm sure there will be many more of these pages as I'd like to scrap all the proofs, I love looking at them. My girlfriend, Ida, took his pictures and all of them are awesome! He was so relaxed with her which gave us some great shots! Wow!

Can You Hear Me Now?

Brandon got a Blackberry Storm for Christmas, it's what he really wanted. It does work good for as much as he text messages! Wow! Good thing we have unlimited, of course, I find myself texting him as well, just as easy. I love this layout. It came together for the SCS Challenge so easily and I just love when that happens. All Supplies are CTMH

Snow Play!

Notice something about these picts? YUP! They're the SAME pictures just on different layouts. That's what happens when your Mom scraps a book for both boys. I was using different scraps and sketches so thats why they are different. Both pages were very fun especially since it's me getting "older" pictures done again! Woohoo! I will get all of the young pictures of the boys in scrapbooks soon. I'm finally getting started on them. It's so much harder. When you're not a scrapper, your pictures are different. These however were very fun. Makes it bittersweet because of couse, I miss my babies. What sweeties they were. Guess they still are, just bigger.

I Do It!

This weekend I worked on layouts from
"older" pictures. While it was fun, it definitely feels in some ways that time "got by me". Where did all those minutes go of either of you at this age? What happened to Barney, Poe, Buzz LightYear, Yugio....I remember when I got this FP Camera for the boys and they both wanted to take their own pictures. They're funny to look at now, off center, not lined up. It was all part of growing up - learning to do it for yourself. How independent and wonderful you both are now.

This layout came from SCS Unity Scrap Layout #4. Amy has been posting some Fun Sketches to use. I think I like her as her blog name is "Caffinated Cropper" and you all know my favorite caffeine -- COFFEE!! Thanks Amy for the inspiration.

WOW! A First

YUP!! Woohoo! Happy Birthday to ME....ok a little early but it's still FUN! My Darling Scrapping "Distress Diva" Friend Gina (who I aspire to "distress pages" like) sent me this! How Fab is THAT! Now that I've updated the look and add more entries more often, I think my blog is finally coming around! Along with this award, I am supposed to list 5 Addictions and then pass the award on to 5 other gals.

My Addictions

1. My Boys (all 3 of them)

2. Scrapping

3. Coffee

4. SCS (Splitcoast Stampers)

5. Photos (I love to take picts)

I'm TRULY, TRULY thrilled to list these and think how far I've come. You see, it wasn't too long ago I had a Career Coach tell me I needed a "hobby"! I needed more balance in my life because I was very much a stressed, work-aholic. It would have been first on this list...and well, maybe 2nd, 3rd, 4th...you get the picture! Little did she know, it was some of the BEST advice I ever got! Here I am a MUCH more well-rounded, at peace, fun, family person!
I am passing this on to some of my friends from SCS (Goal Thread & Proj 365) & Nona whose blog I just love to view because you never know what wonderful crafty idea she'll be working on!

I'm Passing this AWARD to:
1. Val
2. Jenn
5. Nona

How VERY Fun! Thanks Gina!

Remembering...

Oh these pictures bring back such fond memories! Chuck E. Cheese used to be one of the boys favorite places to go! Mine too! I actually liked all the noise, lights and rides. What a great place for a Birthday party or a rainy/snowy Saturday. This was for Sketch #2 at "52 Sketches...52 Weeks" . Lots of fun to complete. This is my first page for Brandon's older scrapbooks! I would like to get them done by graduation but not sure I will. Still fun to try!

Me!

Yes, ME! I've decided to do a Scrapbook just for ME! It will be a collection of our 52 Week Challenge pages from the SCS thread & my Project 365. What a FUN collection of pages, photos and memories! I hope to capture more pictures of my travel and my life. I'd like to tell the story of who I am. I'm just this last year or 2 getting better and making sure I'm in the photos so this scrapbook will be fun. This page was created for the 1st Page of my Album and for the 1st 52 week challenge. I love how it turned out! I've been wanting to use those picts! Supplies: SU! Stamps Doodle This

Favorite Ornaments!

As I was taking down the
Christmas tree, I was struck by all of the "FUN" ornaments we had on the tree this year. By "fun" I mean either made by the boys or selected by them for a variety of reasons. I saw this cute sketch at Inspired Blueprints and I knew as soon as I saw it I was going to photo those "fun" ornaments for the last page in JT's 2008 Scrapbook.

The ornaments date back to 1998 (Angel), 2001 (Little Green Christmas Tree), 2003 (Patrick from SpongeBob), 2006 (Orange Ornaments!) and 2 from 2008 that JT made this year at Betty's (Santa, Reindeer). JT had the most of any of us although I came in a close 2nd. Next year I'll have to photo my "fun" ornaments! Supplies: CTMH Evensong Paper, Stickease & CTMH December Word Puzzle Stamps.

Festival!

This was a FUN sketch I found on SCS for this week's Challenge. I liked the background because it was a great way to use up my Holiday scrappin' papers. I especially like the snowflakes I added. This is a picture of JT and me in Medina the day after Thanksgiving. It was really cold but he still wanted to get out of the house so we went downtown to see the festivities. It wasn't much. The Christmas tree in the park was pretty. We did ride the horse carriage around town and browsed in some of the shops. The best part was on the way home we stopped for DQ Ice Cream! Some moments just go better with ice cream and this was one of them! Supplies: Paper - CTMH Evensong, Stamps - CTMH Feathery Flakes, SU! Snowflakes

Celebrate Life!

Woohoo! I feel like I'm still celebrating the New Year! We're having a wonderful, restful, relaxing "Christmas" holiday! It will all be over on Monday as we go back to work and school but for the rest of the weekend, it's still all about relaxing! I also really enjoy our family photos at Christmas. I like how this page turned out. It's rather simple but it shows off the 8"x10" photo I added. Something new! I haven't done that before & when I saw this in the CTMH catty, I knew I wanted this page to be all about the Family Photo. Supplies: CTMH Evensong Paper & Stickease

Good Bye Christmas!

It's time...it's time to take down the Christmas decorations! I'm always sad that time of year because #1 it means that another holiday is gone and #2 all the festiveness of the decorating is gone and the living room is back to "ordinary". I love to look at these Christmas tree picts of each year. How fun they are! I also especially like to look at the lists change from year to year, LOL! I can't remember where I scraplifted this layout from, sorry! This was my #366 for 2008, woohoo!! Supplies: Paper- CTMH Garden Green CS, Evensong DSP. Ink: CTMH Cranberry, Olive, Garden Green. Stamps: CTMH December Word Puzzle

Welcome January!

Woohoo, January 1! Happy New Year! It's time to reflect on what goals I want to have for 2009. I've written my personal goals in my planner. They say that if you write them down you are more likely to achieve them. The last couple years I have been writing them down and I think it's working. I think by writing them down at least for me, it seems like more of a commitment and I can look at them again. I also want to have Stamping/Scrapping Goals. I like to feel like I'm accomplishing something & sharing the love through my hobby. Here they are (in no special order).

1. I'd like to use all of my beautiful stamps more often, especially with my scrapbook layouts. Any stamp set I don't use more than once throughout this year I'd like to move out of my stash next year.

2. Over time, I've purchase LOTS of items to be altered. I'd like to start working on those items to use as gifts.

3. I've a HUGE stash of cards/card fronts from Swaps. I'd like to repurpose, make into full card and send or donate

4. Eliminate "impulse" buys. I've done a good job in 2008 reducing my stamp/scrap stash but I still have moments of when I have "retail therapy". I'd like to eliminate this altogether as I find I don't use the stuff I buy in those moments.

5. I'm also planning to update my blog more consistently. What a fun place to share my scrap and stamp creations.

The card is from the SCS NYE Stamp Challenge to use Black, White, Silver or Gold. Stamps: CTMH Make It Count

Day 2 -- I miss ya

Day 2 of #the100DayProject.   Today's Card is from a Sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap #46 .  I actually got it playing along with the April ...
