Going Old School ...

oh yeah, Happy Friday!  It's time once again for another GREAT Color My Heart Color Dare #115 - Outdoor Denim, Sunset, and Olive.   As I dug through my stash, I found some older scraps with just the perfect colors.  Of course, I had to go look what the paper is called.  I also found some fun brads and an eyelet.

It was perfect for this week's Retro Sketch #136.

Come and play!

Going Back

Today's card is inspired from another Operation Write Home Virtual Card Making Party Challenge.  This challenge was posted at Noon on 070514 and was to make a masculine card with a vintage look.  One of my favorite CTMH Stamp sets I knew would work perfectly - Enjoy Life.

Since July is my month to "use up the oldies but goodies"  I pulled out the CTMH Creative Basics paper pack - Wings.  Grabbed some Chocolate Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, some brown pearl Opaque Pearls and the card came together quickly.   This works great because I am a card angel to a couple guys and I need more "guy" cards!

The sketch was from OWH #199.

Enjoy the Ride

Ahhh... another fun, relaxing Saturday at my house.  I was getting a little worried because my MOJO has seemed to go on vacation but it felt good tonight that it was back.  I've got a week of travel coming up for work so getting some fun stuff done this weekend, was key.

This card was inspired by this week's sketch at MOJO Monday #350.

Life! Sit Back and Enjoy the Ride

I found these pictures looking through a box for another item.   They're just some random pictures from some work events but each of them made me laugh as I thought of the memory behind the photos.  It's a good reminder that there are lots of fun things at work,  not just paper,  LOL! The sketch is from this week's SYAO 15 challenge over at Paper Secrets.  We're in a weekly scrap challenge and I can't believe we're already on week 15.  I'm still playing which is even more fun.  These sketches have really helped me "branch out" using sketches to work with the pictures I want to scrap.  I'm learning every week that they're just a starting point and it works great,  doesn't have to be exactly like the sketch.   The CTMH Dotty For You paper was still laying on my desk from the card I did for Mother's Day and just seemed like fun colors for this layout.

Stay Inspired!
