Thinking of you

Unfortunately, this week I needed a sympathy card so I decided to make 2 and also make a 'thinking of you".  I used the recent Viva La Verve Feb Week #3.  I was trying to keep the colors basic and thanks to the ladies at H2H for the Week 3 "enTWINEd" challenge,  I got out my new twine from the Seasonal Expressions - Flaxen.   Yup, I hadn't used it yet but I really liked it and I'm sure I'll add it to more projects.

Countdown to Valetine -- My Valentine

Happy Valentines Day!  All the fun hearts and cupids we've enjoyed the last week plus have brought us to Valentines 2015!  YAY!   I've celebrated with my DH Valentine now for 27 years.  We always have a special day together doing the little things that bring smiles.   He always gets me BEAUTIFUL flowers and some dark chocolate and I make his faves for dinner and try to get him a treat that goes with his after dinner coffee.   I'm always amazed that after all these years he tells me his favorite part is the card I make for him,  awww....he's a keeper.   I hope you enjoyed your day as well.  I also love that I get to make all these fun Valentines with the beautiful papers and fun embellishments from CTMH.  It's just so awesome to have stamps, papers and cricut cartridges to enhance the cards and pages I like to complete.  Check out the CTMH Love over at H2H Challenge this week.

Countdown to Valentine Love #2

ohhh,  I think this one just might be my favorite card for this weekend so far?!  Love it.  I love the simplicity of the Lagoon and Cranberry with the falling red hearts.   This is also one of my fave sentiments in this set.

Yup ... Luv Ya!

I was just catching up with the great inspiration to get January started at Heart-2-Heart  and the first challenge for this month is "old is new".  Speaking of new, I can hardly wait because my order from the Seasonal Expressions is on the way with lots of lovely new papers, stamps and embellishments for Valentines.  It made me realize that it's probably a good time to make some cards with the paper I already have.  This paper is a few years old!  It's called "That's Amore!" and it even uses a retired red, "tulip".   I only have a few pieces left but it seemed like a good time to get them out.  I also used one of the first CTMH Cricut Cartridges, Artiste & some buttons from an a package of the button assortments, wow, "old is new".    This fun sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches #282.

December Day #13 Hope

We cannot forget the "Reason for the Season".   There are so many times we get pulled in so many directions during this time and year and forget the best part is the Celebration of Hope!   We are so blessed.  

It's Day #13 and my daily card party is going great!  It's really added a delightful break each evening to work on a card or two (depending on time) and listen to Christmas music!  Love it.

Oh Baby ... First Smiles

This weekend over at SplitcoastStampers (SCS) we're having a Virtual Scrapbooking Nights (VSBN) Crop.   It's a few days of scrap challenges which are always great inspiration for getting pages done.  The first "preview" challenge was posted today and it was all about "Babies" since the theme this month is "Celebrating Friends and Family".   

This is my oldest son, Brandon when he was a couple months old. He was SUCH a good smiler! I also made this for the "No"vember Heart 2 Heart Scrapbooking Challenge which was to use no DSP, just cardstock. It went perfectly with this picture.

Ahhh, Monday, Monday

It's that time again, the start to the new work week.  I should appreciate it, my day job supports my crafting habits and I do appreciate that, LOL!   I'm especially looking forward to this weekend as it's the SCS VSBN (Virtual Scrapbooking Nights) Weekend Crop, theme Family and I have lots of pictures I'm looking forward to getting scrapped and into my Scrapbooks.

Until then, tonight I'm playing along with the MOJO Monday Challenge #370, and Heart-2-Heart "No-Vember" Challenge (No Stamping) tonight.   I really appreciated this challenge as I have lots of the Picture My Life cards left over from the Balloon Ride packet and none of the papers left so this is a fun way to use the small size.  This sketch was perfect for it.

Viva! Viva!

Woohoo!   What GREAT Memories!  These are great photos from the 2013 CTMH Convention of and what a fun time we  had.   I'm hoping I get to go back next year.   I finished scrapping the event with the Viva paper they gave out at Convention and thanks to the FUN Challenge at H2H to "make it spicy".     I used Sketch #326 from Nuts About Sketches.

Oh Yes ... Magical ....

"Maybe I can't stop the downpour, but I will always join you for a walk in the rain."  Author Unknown.   These picts are from Sunday after the CTMH Convention at the Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, FL.   I had the luxury of having some time for a walk around the resort.   Even though it was raining,  the scenery and time spent exploring was still "magical" as it was so relaxing and I had just had 3 days of SUPER FUN times at convention!   

The layout is from the May 2 Page Sketch Challenge at scrapbook.com and it is also for the H2H May Scrap Challenge to finish a page that is "Magical".   This was truly a great time.

Scrap Saturday

Oh yeah ... watching basketball and scrappin' ... that's a fun Saturday!   I've been wanting to get this page done because I didn't want to lose the memoriabilia, LOL!   While my DS was home for Christmas Break, we went up to Tower City in Downtown Cleveland to the Hard Rock Café!  Very good food and lots of fun.   This is for March scrappin' Challenge at H2H to use one or more of the CTMH Cricut cartridges ... I used Artbooking tonight.

Missing MOJO

We're half way through our 100x100 Challenge and all was good until this week.  I had lots of fun making cards almost daily ... and then "WHAM".   My MOJO went on vacation and it became more difficult.   LOL!    Tonight,  it was better but whew,  I hope by the weekend, it's back. 

It's day 51 of our SCS 100x100 Challenge and I decided instead of trying to make a card sketch work,  I'd just play with some scraps.   Once I took the pressure off and just begun to look through the little pieces of fun papers,  my card came together actually pretty quickly.   I know just who I'm going to send this card to.   One of the gals I work with got stranded at the airport for 7 hours today.  They sent out her luggage but her flight was canceled and she never got to depart.   We were able to laugh about it tonight and I just wanted to send her a smile as she now has to reschedule and try to track down her luggage!   Good times.

I used flourishes on my card tonight for the H2H Challenge this week.

Happy Wednesday!  Hope you're having a good week!   All good here.  Counting the days until the weekend as I'll be seeing my youngest DS and his GF for the weekend.  Looking forward to our visit.

Valentine Variety

Happy Monday!   Another work week is upon us.  I hope it's a good one.   This card is from SCS Sketch Challenge #474.  It's a really cute sketch, I like the banner.  It's also for the Hearts Challenge over at H2H.   I decided to try for a "non traditional colors" valentine.  Hmmm... I think I'm a "traditional" girl when it comes to Valentines but I like the sketch.   It's also Day #41 of our SCS 100x100 Challenge!   Just think, next week we'll be 1/2 way through ... wow!

Superbowl Scrappin'

It seems each year during the Superbowl (at least for the last 2) I've been scrappin'.   Actually last year we had a Virtual Scrap Challenge over at Friends that Scrap.  I missed having that this year but while I was watching the game (Congrats SeaHawks)  I did get a couple pages done.  

These are actually picts from my Birthday last year.  The SCS Variety Challenge #200 was to use a mixed title.  I used Sentiment Stamps, Letter Stamps and my Artiste Cricut Cart for a diecut.   I also used some (old) CTMH Paper - Just Chillin'.    I added Dimensional Elements "thanks to" the February scrapbooking Challenge Over at H2h.    I'm glad for that as I don't often pull those out.  Page 1 was from a scraplift challenge over at sb.com.

Thinking of Hearts

Awww... I'm not quite ready to start making Valentine Cards but it's coming soon!  I hope to Celebrate Hearts in February.   This however seemed like a fun card to make as a "pre-Valentine".  Unfortunately,  my snowmen are still applicable here in Ohio cuz' it's snowing again but that's ok because teamed up with some red and pink and this little snow guy becomes irresistible.  Lovin' the CTMH Washi Tape too!

Today's card is from this week's Mojo Monday #328 sketch.  This card also works for this week's Heart 2 Heart Challenge - "Give Me a C-T-M-H".  I used "C - Cotton Candy Ink, T - Twine, M - Mojo Monday Sketch, H - H2H Challenge".   Can you believe it? Day #15 for our "100 cards in 100 days" Challenge at SCS.

Laughing Lola ... no more

yup ... this is the last of my Laughing Lola "My Reflections" Card Kit Scraps!  I just couldn't let the last little few get tossed so I decided to make 1 more card with the left overs.   That gave me 18 cards out of the WOTG Kit!  Woohoo! 

This is Day #14 for the "100 cards in 100 Days Challenge" over on SCS.   I'm really pleased I've posted all 14 days with a different card!   Today's sketch is this week's Viva la Verve January Week #2 and this is my card for the 2nd January Challenge for Heart 2 Heart.  The H2H challenge was to use the Letters "C-T-M-H" for your card design.   I used the following "C - Card - T - Teal Sparkle Ribbon - M - "My Reflections Laughing Lola Kit" - H - I added a heart and the word happy".

Laugh!

Well,  if you don't Laugh, you might cry here because below zero temps are REALLY cold.  Whew!  It's kind of scary that we're calling 40 degrees for this weekend a warm up,  LOL! 

Tonight I was inspired by the card sketch on SCS #470.  I wanted to try something "new" since that is the challenge over at Heart to Heart this week.   Lots of "new" stuff for me on here.  I used Christmas papers for a non-holiday card (gasp!),  I cut into my beautiful glitter paper (gasp! Ok maybe not, but doesn't it make pretty snow flakes?),  I tried CTMH technique to use washi tape over cardstock like paper (love it!) and I tried the new sketch challenge ... so lots of "new".  

It's also Day #8 of our 100 by 100 Challenge over at SCS and posting 8 days in a row is also a first!

Cold Is Coming

Brr.... I hear cold temperatures are headed our way for next week but today it was sunny and 48 which made a wonderful day to head to the park for a walk.  Now yes,  it was still "winter" but when you live in the Midwest,  you have to take nice days when they come.    Of course,  with chilly temps,  comes time for of warm winter "stuff" ... Like hot chocolate, coffee, tea and all sorts of other yummy sipping drinks. 

Tonight I pulled out some scraps I had of Sasparilla,  used the MOJO Monday #276 Sketch and of course added "hot cocoa" for the H2H Challenge.   I think I use this stamp set "A Sip" every January, LOL!
