I found these pictures looking through a box for another item. They're just some random pictures from some work events but each of them made me laugh as I thought of the memory behind the photos. It's a good reminder that there are lots of fun things at work, not just paper, LOL! The sketch is from this week's SYAO 15 challenge over at Paper Secrets. We're in a weekly scrap challenge and I can't believe we're already on week 15. I'm still playing which is even more fun. These sketches have really helped me "branch out" using sketches to work with the pictures I want to scrap. I'm learning every week that they're just a starting point and it works great, doesn't have to be exactly like the sketch. The CTMH Dotty For You paper was still laying on my desk from the card I did for Mother's Day and just seemed like fun colors for this layout.

Finally Dotty For You
I've been wanting to play with my new CTMH "Dotty For You" Paper and finally tonight I had the MOJO going to get it out and have some fun. The colors are so bright and cheerful and it was hard to choose which print to use. I needed to get my card done so I could get it in the mail for it to arrive on time for my Mom so it worked out perfectly that I was inspired tonight by this week's Freshly Made Sketches . I actually used this sketch for some other cards I made tonight also as it was a great way to showcase the great colors of this paper. How fun because the H2H Challenge this week & the Paper Players Challenge is to show off our Mother's Day Cards and I'm excited to show this off! Stay Inspired!

UGLY Paper Challenge
This month over at Friends That Scrap we're having a challenge to use "UGLY" paper. To make the challenge a little more difficult, we chose the ugliest papers from our stash and sent them to another so the "UGLY" paper that we're using is from someone else's stash. I was a little worried. Bless my partner Mary's heart, she must have been doing a MUCH better job over the last few years selecting paper because the paper she sent me wasn't so bad ... actually it came together great for some Grad Cards I needed to get busy on. The vellum on the card is the "UGLY" stuff she sent me, the rest is Close To My Heart cardstock. I started this card with this week's Card Patterns Sketch 164. Of course I had to add a little to the sketch to get my sentiment on the card but inspiration is always welcome!

Enjoying Spring Break!

This week I took the week off to spend time with my family. We went away for the weekend and now we're just relaxing at home. Everyone has something they want to do. Of course, it's not hard to guess that I want to spend time at my stamp/scrap desk. Tonight I actually had time to play the H2H Challenge. Very fun week to play as it was a sketch week. I really miss the Creative Basic Kits that make completing cards so easy. Looking through my stash I found CTMH Cherry-O paper, liked the colors and decided to use that for my card. I've been wanting to cut out the bird with my CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge so this was the perfect time to get it out. For the Twisted Tuesday Challenge, "Flowers - no Roses", I thought these daisies were perfect!

Tradition!
This Fun Layout is photos of Medina, Ohio square at Christmas time. It's the first year since I've lived here the square wasn't under construction and I went on Christmas Eve for some photo moments! It was so sparkly and pretty! All it needed was a little dusting (note I said little) of snow. This was my scraplift page for SB.Com Challenge for March. Wednesday, February 8, 2012
Spring - Winter - Spring - Winter - Spring - Winter

UGH! It just seems like this year has been very crazy weather for January and the start of February. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining that we've not had snow it's just hard to go back and forth with nice weather then cold/snow weather ... It puts me in the mood for Spring Cards but it's not quite time. I really should be making more Valentines! More soon. This card is for one of my friends in our SCS Craft Girls Blog Group - Melina. It's her 14th Wedding Anniversary and she posted that her favorite colors are green and purple. It was just the motivation I needed to get out my "new" CTMH Sonoma Paper Pack and play. The sketch is MOJO Monday #227. Back with more soon and to Melina - Happy 14!

What a Fun place to find motivation to scrap and stamp! The have a weekly challenge "Scrap Your A$$ Off" and here is my this is my first page for the first challenge.
It didn't come out exactly like it looked in my mind, LOL ... a little too busy. Guess I should have used cardstock for the background but as we say sometimes, "A Page Done is a Page Done!"
