Day 2 -- I miss ya

Day 2 of #the100DayProject.   Today's Card is from a Sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap #46.  I actually got it playing along with the April Card Sketch Challenge at sb.com.  

Really looking to work on cards for guys.  I also really enjoy using my washi tape stash.  It's always fun

And He's Off ...

This card is my first card for the 2019 --- 100 Days Project!   It starts today 040219.   This year I'm going to make and/or mail at least 1 card per day during the 100 days.   Today I made this card for my nephew Christopher who left for Boot Camp yesterday.    Note written, just waiting for his new address to get this sent.

I'm not always very good at "guy" cards, hopefully I'll get more practice.   This is using this weeks Atlantic Hearts Sketch #310

Winter Hello

Brrr .... it's been snowing all night here so a winter card with snowflakes seemed appropriate, LOL!  Not to mention I wanted to play with these new stamps that just arrived this week.  These are Hostess Stamps  called "Got Snow?"  in the current CTMH Idea Book.   So Cute!   I'll be playing with these again soon .... The sketch is Atlantic Hearts #299

Happy Day

It is a Happy Day!   I love Fridays!   It's also good to be back posting with the Color My Heart Color Dare Team!   This is always the time of year my "day job" slows down some and I get more time at my Stamp and Scrap Desk!


This week we're Celebrating Color Dare #251 ... using the colors -- Juniper, Lemon and Sorbet! 


I had really hoped to finish off my card w/ the little stamps that go along with the Doodled Designs but something crazy happened ... the stamp sheet holder went missing ... hmmm?    Hopefully I'll find it soon

Oh Yes ... it's that time of year when we celebrate upcoming Holidays ... especially with Close To My Heart Holiday Expressions.   You're going to see several of great ideas for the CTMH Holiday Expressions.  If you're hopping along, you just came from Haley's Blog

I had the opportunity to go to Convention so I've had the Holiday Expressions Idea Book for some time.  As soon as I saw the Scrap Page using our new stamp set "With You" (Pg 20) I knew then what pictures I was going to scrap. These were taken last Thanksgiving.  Our first time going to our oldest DS House for the holiday since he couldn't come home.   We had such a wonderful time together.  You realize that all "traditions" are made to be set aside when there are new ones available.  This was one of them, LOL!   Good times!

This week was my oldest son's birthday ... aww!  I love that boy so much.  I made this card while thinking of him.  He's one of the loves of my life and he's a great young man.   He's all grown up and lives in another state so I won't get to see him until today,  since I already sent him a birthday card, this is the one I'm giving him with his cake, yay!

It's Time ... National Stamping Month Celebration

I had SO much fun playing along with these super adorable, versatile little stamps.  You won't want to miss out on the fun!  I decided for the Hop to use these with other papers than the cards the pack comes with since I found some cute Card sketches ....  to play along with.

This is my FAVORITE since I also got out the watercolor paper and paints!   I used circles for the Challenge over at The Paper Players.

Well,  this one is pretty "high on my list of faves too" because I used the new Sea Glass color and of course the adorable new ribbons along with the vellum sheet from Uptown Fundamentals.

Ok, well this one was fun too with more ribbon and Sea Glass along with my previous favorite color Thistle ...I think this is such a cute stamp too with the fun fonts...

My Favorite Time of Year

It's sort of like Christmas and your Birthday all rolled into one very fun day of the year ... New Idea Book launch for CTMH.   This year is no exception, lots of fun new stamps and papers to create with.  If you're  hopping along, you just came from Melinda's Blog

We're celebrating new products from the 2016 New Idea Book and Catalog.  I will say, if you enjoy bright colors, you'll love this idea book as it has lots of new fun colors and prints in the Paper Fundamentals.    I've been playing with my new packs of paper and enjoying the new designs.  I actually went to convention so I wanted to use the new papers to scrap the excitement of seeing the new book for the first time in the first layout

Of  course,  not only playing along with the papers for layouts but they make great cards too!  I used MOJO Monday #459 to finish a couple cards I needed to get out

Where is Spring?

Welcome to our SOTM Watercolor Showcase Blog Hop!   If you're hopping along with us, you just came from Marie's Blog.   I have to admit, before today, my watercolors were still in the package, gasp!

But today I got them out to play!   How fun.  I used the Watercolor Paints and painted the tags.  I really liked how it came out.  I also watercolored the bird and added Shinhan markers for more intense colors to the outline.   This card sketch is from the PageMaps Sketch for sb.com.
