Cool Nights, Warm Days

Wow, Fall was sure here this weekend with cold rain and dropping temps but the great thing about that is it's easy to stay indoors and stamp/scrap!   Since Saturday was World Cardmaking Day 2014 it made it even more fun to think of it as a celebration!

This card was inspired by one of the "Hope You can Cling" Challenges at SCS this month and I made another for the OWH World Cardmaking Day Challenge!   The sketch is from Retro Sketches #135 which was to pick one of the sketches from the Archives,  I picked #01.

The Story of Today

Happy World Cardmaking Day 2014!

I had a great time celebrating WCMD ... yup, making cards!   I finished several for different challenges and upcoming Blog posts.  It's so fun to have some done to show off.

This sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches #156.  What a fun one to use to get my MOJO started for the day of stamping.  It seems once I get going, the cards get easier but it's probably just because I have out all the supplies, LOL!

Fall ... is BACK!

Ahhh... cooler days and chilly nights!  It's time for my favorite season of the year - Autumn!  Yay! I love the cool, sunny days and the vibrant colors but it also brings rain and more in-door time on the weekends and evenings which lends itself to stamping ... and I have to admit,  I like that too!   LOL!

Welcome to Friday and our Color My Heart Color Dare #113.   Come and play this week as we use Cranberry, Glacier and Canary.  The challenge this week at H2H is Favorite Embellishment and lately mine are the Gold Sequins! Hello September and welcome to National Stamping Month and CTMH "30 Years of Happy".   What a great time to celebrate stamping fun!   I hope I get more time this month to play with these cute little stamps!   All sorts of FUN

If you're hopping along with us on the CTMH "30 Years of Happy" Blog Hop,  you've come from Sheila's fun inspiration!    I had a tough time choosing what sentiment I wanted but not paper.  I'm absolutely SMITTEN with Thistle, LOL!  I think I've used up all the Thistle in the Fundamental pack as I just had a few little pieces left but they were perfect for my cards.  I've also enjoyed getting out the Flaxen.  I wasn't sure I was going to like this color but it has surprised me. 

 This sketch is from an old Sketch Saturday #217 card sketch.   I also made another card while I had out all the supplies.   This one is for a friend at work who just earned a promotion.  She deserved it and I wanted to use the "You Did It" stamps.  This is from an Operations Write Home Sketch.   It's now time to HOP to Jean's blog.

Hello September!

Hello Blog Friends!   It's SOTM Time again and September is another GREAT Stamp-of-the-Month.  It's also are EVER growing and FUN SOTM Blog Hop.  If you are enjoying the HOP,  you've just come from Julie Carriere.   (The FULL BLOG List HERE.)  

I really like the CTMH September SOTM set,   it seems so versatile for both scrap pages and cards!  Of course,  I also always seem to like "heart: stamps so that helps as this has some cute ones. 

My scrap page is a recent memory of my DS who just moved to KY to go to college there.  What a fun day, lots of work but lots of excitement for new opportunities for them ...I used the strips left from CTMH Balloon Ride Paper Pack,  it's all I have left.

I also had remnants left of the CTMH Paper Pack "Unforgettable" and it worked perfectly for my card which I used the Viva La Verve Week 5 card sketch.   I also added the new Sequins and I just love the little touch of bling they add.
