March Already

wow...no way does it seem like it should be March already!  Whew, February flew by!  I was going to say that I'm going to have to get more scrappin' and stampin' done but ... I got lots of fun stuff done this month.   I hope March to be my month for "Altered Projects".   For some reason, I love to "look" at altered projects and I always have best intentions of completing them when I purchase the supplies but there they sit, in my craft stash collecting dust .... ugh!

It's ALMOST FRIDAY which means it's time for our Color My Heart Color Dare challenge #32.  This week we're using Pear, Lagoon and Outdoor Denim .       My card (which wasn't the original project I had planned to share w/ you) is inspired from Paper Craft Planet and their tutorial on "How to Turn Your Squares into Chevrons".   Fun!

Since it's the end of the week and I'm hoping Friday is better than Thursday was,  I used CTMH stamp "Happy Endings"

Supplies:  CTMH Cardstock Pear, Outdoor Denim,  CTMH Paper Pack Elemental, CTMH Stamps c1343 Happy Endings, CTMH Ink Black, Pear, Lagoon,   CTMH Sparkles

Lela, I completely understand the not finishing of projects! We do have the best intentions though. ;) Thanks so much for reminding me of the squares to chevrons! I had stumbled upon the idea a while back and totally forgot about it! Yours turned out great! Love this color combo with your little frog--awesome idea!!! :)

I so enjoy the frog on this great card. I once owned a greyhound who regularly carried a stuffed frog around that looked a lotvthis frog. Great job. I love this card.

Hope your Friday did turn into a happy weekend, Lela! Love that clever chevron technique (and the how-to link). Great background for the frog--makes you think of hopping... One of the things I love about these colour challenges is seeing snips of older paper packs--like my last-years's fave, Elemental.

What a cute little frog! He sure put a smile on my face. I hope your weekend turned out to be fun. I had not seen the squares into chevrons technique before, so you taught me something new!! Great card!
