I'm Back
Whew...it feels like I've been gone F-O-R-E-V-A-H ... at least from my blog! But "Happy News", I'm back! Last week I was in Arizona all week for work so while it was work, it still was beautiful. My first time there, hopefully, not my last.
This week, our Color My Heart #41 Color Challenge - Use Cocoa, Saddle and 1 other Color. The truth is, I don't have any Saddle so I used Cocoa, Kraft and 1 other color - Honey. This is a fun challenge so come and play! Come on, you can use Cocoa (browns) and another color ... I know you can!
Supplies: Cardstock CTMH Cocoa, Kraft, Vanilla, Honey; CTMH Stamps D1543 Country Born; CTMH Ink Cocoa, Honey, CTMH Ribbon Dark Chocolate Stripe, CTMH Sparkles

Welcome back! I still feel like I'm out of breath from my recent vacation. (Why is it I always need a vacation after a vacation?)
Great card this week. Love the woodgrain background to your Country Life image.
I really like the woodgrain embossing too! Your card has a really great feel to it, with the horse. I'm bound and determined to get that stamp set. BTW, I'd love to see your project from last week if you took the picture!
Wonderful card, Lela! I agree with Sarah that it has a really great feel to it--I would describe it as soothing and restful. The background woodgrain texture makes this card "rustic". I'm glad you're back from your travels!
:) Marie
Hey Lela,
I'm also glad to have you back in blog-land! I like the repetition of shapes on your card, framing both the focal image and the sentiment. Honey looks really good as the accent colour.
