New Horizons

Wow, it's been really busy at my Day Job and it's sucking all the creative life out of me at night...well, actually, it's not leaving any time to create when you're traveling or gone most days.  Aahhh,  guess it's just that time of year.   I'm not complaining as I love my job but it does put a little crimp in the creative process, LOL!

Several of my team members were offered an early retirement and they're ecstatic getting ready to move on to the next phase.   Good for them but I'll miss several of them.   This is for one of the guys on my team.  I know he's planning lots of time for sailing.   It goes perfect for a "guy" card this week for our Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #39 - Outdoor Denim, Gypsy and Sky.   The card sketch is this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch #182.

Supplies:   CTMH Paper You Rock, Sky CS,   CTMH Stamps New Horizons,  CTMH Ink Sky, Outdoor Denim, Gypsy,  CTMH Sparkles Purple

Never would have thought you could make such a great, masculine card with these colors. Way to go! Sorry it's to say goodbye to a valued co-worker. That's always hard.

Lela, you are right that the challenge colours this week are perfect for a nautical theme. New Horizons is the perfect theme, too for your "fair sailing" card. Nice!

Great card that has many interpretations including sailing! This is a wonderful male card and I see it as the importance of the anchor of life too! Your creative time may be short at the present time but what came up with is fabulous!

There you are! Was wondering where you went and now I know. I love the nautical look you achieved with these colors. I always struggle with guy cards because I have to hold back the sparkle. ;) You did a fantastic job!

Nautical themes are close to my heart as my dad was a sailor and so is one of my sons. I love the way you arranged it with the banner behind it. Cool anchor--where is it from? Thanks for creating such a wonderful male card with these challenge colors.

This is a perfect guy card. I really like it, especially the anchor on the front. The swirls on the pattern paper remind me of water. Great card, Lela!
