Send Off

Today my nephew was sworn into the Navy about 0600 this morning!  I know he'll be great but it was so hard I'm sure for my Sis to think that her oldest baby is 18 and ready to go off to boot camp.   I'm praying and sending lots of positive vibes he'll love it.  He was excited and will be in Chicago for the next 6 weeks, then Connecticut.

My card sketch came from this week's Freshly Made Sketches and I found a fun new blogspot to follow for some great CTMH color challenges - Color My Heart. This week it was to take a current paper pack and add a color. I chose Florentine and added Barn Red. I really liked how it turned out. I got the idea from the Pals Paper Arts color Challenge.

Supplies: CTMH Paper Florentine, CS Barn Red, Cocoa, Stamps CTMH c1454 Horizon, Ink CTMH Barn Red, Desert Sand, Bamboo, Cocoa, Goldrush, CTMH Opaques Mocha, CTMH Brads

I'm so glad I forgot to close down the linky widget, because I never would have gotten to see your wonderful card if I hadn't. If you hadn't been past the deadline, I might have chosen this one as the winner! It's gorgeous! Who would have thought Florentine would look great with Barn Red? And I love that stamp set... now I wish I would have gotten that set. :) Thanks for joining in at Color My Heart, and I hope to see you back.

I've Arrived!

In my usual fashion, late but with a GREAT story to tell. I didn't join the bloggers of the world until now because what would I have to share, at the time, I didn't think anything...well...I've changed my mind. I do want to share with all my friends and family-- my thoughts, creations and ideas. So, welcome to my World.

The View from My Window
Looking out the Living Room Window I realized today was a good day to get those projects I've been putting off DONE! It was beautiful to look at but I sure didn't want to get out in it this morning! Good thing I was on vacation.
