New Horizons

Wow, it's been really busy at my Day Job and it's sucking all the creative life out of me at night...well, actually, it's not leaving any time to create when you're traveling or gone most days.  Aahhh,  guess it's just that time of year.   I'm not complaining as I love my job but it does put a little crimp in the creative process, LOL!  

Several of my team members were offered an early retirement and they're ecstatic getting ready to move on to the next phase.   Good for them but I'll miss several of them.   This is for one of the guys on my team.  I know he's planning lots of time for sailing.   It goes perfect for a "guy" card this week for our Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #39 - Outdoor Denim, Gypsy and Sky.   The card sketch is this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch #182.

I hope you had a Blessed Sunday.   Today it's Monday and it's time for back to work, ugh!  Very busy days for the next 2-3 for me so I wanted to get some fun craftin' in as I head into a busy week.

It's Saturday ... time to MONKEY Around!

LOL!   It was a fun day mixed with some errands, a trip to the park for a walk to enjoy sunshine,  getting the grill out  and (2)  R-E-A-L-L-Y close basketball championship games and you get some crazy stuff.    Whew,  I wanted this to be posted earlier but ... I had to keep stopping to watch the game.  

The sketch I used was MOJO Monday #287.   I did 2 different cards with one for a baby sentiment for the challenge over at Twist of Faith #31 and pun fun for the challenge over at H2H.

Ahhh Friday!   If you've read my blog before you know I'm a GREAT Fan of Friday!   It's always "almost Friday" and if not "almost" it is.... All Good!   It is also time for Color Dare #37 - JUNIPER!
That's Right,   Let's mix it up a little and use Juniper with any of the neutrals you might have ... or colors as in this case.

I CASED this card from the current CTMH Idea Book, pg 82.   A few changes as I really like to use my embossing folders...if only CTMH would come out with some!   I've liked this card since the first time I saw it so the Juniper Challenge was just perfect.

Woohoo! Another new Challenge Blog and this one is for using the CTMH Cricut Artiste ... how fun is that? I can honestly say that I have only used 1 other Cricut cartridge (Pooh Font) since I purchased my CTMH Art Philosophy and Artiste Cartridges. I use both of them often.

This week Rose Blossom Garden Challenge Blog had it's Inaugural Post. I used the sketch from this week's the sweetest thing Sweet Sunday Sketch #181. Very fun!

April Fool's

haha!  That's how I feel about this card....hmmm.   The busy background was just a little much.  It looked so good in my head ... yup, April Fools!    I do like the flower diecut.  I haven't cut that one before.    The sketch (which is really cute so I'll have to try again) is this week's Freshly Made Sketches #79.
