Treasure The Now

 It is with a heavy heart that I post this card as I made it in rememberance for a dear friend from SCS Kristin (aka SCS CanadianKristin).   We met on SCS in the Scrapbook thread and shared a fun friendship of posts, PM's and emails.   It was in 2007 that she sent me a VERY excited email sharing she was coming to Niagara Falls with her DH on a business trip and she wondered if I lived close enough to come up and spend a day.  It was about 5 hours but worth every minute of the drive as we laughed, talked and toured Niagara Falls together while Shawn was in his meeting.  It was an incredibly special day.   I realize that God's timing is not our timing and I thank Him for having Kristin in my life for the short time it seemed.  She was the most cheerful Momma of 4 I've ever known.  I know she would laugh and enjoy the card.

Snow, snow and More Snow

This Winter sure seems like a long one?  Probably just my imagination as it's still January and we'll have winter for a couple more months here in Ohio.  Just a quick stop by to drop off my card for today.  

Today's cute design is from this week's Featured Stamper #365 Challenge over on SCS.  I always head to the back of the gallery first as some of their easier cards are usually toward the back when they first started, LOL!   It's also Day 36 at SCS 100x100.

Ahhh Tuesday!  Welcome back to this week's Tuesday Fun.   I decided to use the Viva La Verve January Week 5 sketch for today's card.  I wasn't really planning to use flowers and butterflies as I should be making Valentines but I had this paper out and it just seemed fun to use it for another set of cards this week.  Gasp!   I only have one sheet left.   Since it's my goal to use up some old paper packs,  that's good.  

Today is Day 35 of our SCS 100x100 Challenge.   Still going strong in the challenge to do 100 cards in 100 days.  I've actually already made 100 as I don't usually just make one since I need cards for sending out weekly but I'd still like to try to get 100 different cards made in 100 days.

Monday's Treasures

Do you ever have paper you really like and use only occasionally?  Well,  I do love these colors so I've used this paper pack sparingly.  I've had it for at least 4 years!  This is just about the last of it.  This year it is my goal to stop worrying about using up my fave papers as more just keep coming,  I'd like to use some of these older CTMH packs to make room for new.  I probably have enough of this paper - Elegant Bouquet to make a couple more cards but then it will be gone and that's ok because I love all the papers and colors in the new CTMH Catty that came out Feb 1!

This card sketch design is from this week's Friday Mashup #145. and I sponged around the main stamped image.  I love to do that and it was part of the challenge.   This would be day #35 of our SCS 100x100 Challenge..

Superbowl Scrappin'

It seems each year during the Superbowl (at least for the last 2) I've been scrappin'.   Actually last year we had a Virtual Scrap Challenge over at Friends that Scrap.  I missed having that this year but while I was watching the game (Congrats SeaHawks)  I did get a couple pages done.  

These are actually picts from my Birthday last year.  The SCS Variety Challenge #200 was to use a mixed title.  I used Sentiment Stamps, Letter Stamps and my Artiste Cricut Cart for a diecut.   I also used some (old) CTMH Paper - Just Chillin'.    I added Dimensional Elements "thanks to" the February scrapbooking Challenge Over at H2h.    I'm glad for that as I don't often pull those out.  Page 1 was from a scraplift challenge over at sb.com.

February Love ... Chocolate

Mmmm....What I love about February is CHOCOLATE!   Yup,  one of my very favorite parts about February is all the reasons to munch on some yummy chocolate.  I love dark chocolate and you can find it every where which is so fun.  Not good for the waist line but I try to limit it to February, LOL!

This card sketch is a from this week's MOJO Monday #330.   It's not Tall and Skinny but I hope to get another one done that is.  Day #33 of our SCS 100x100 Challenge.

Fun In February

Woohoo!   I made it all 31 days in January posting to my blog a new card every day and I made it for the first 31 days of our SCS 100x100 Challenge.   It's been really fun and I'm especially excited to be feeling like I'm really using my stash without having to buy new ... of course, there's a new CTMH Catty out today so we'll see how my resolve holds up ... BUT... I did get 100 cards done already as I made some duplicates for weekly mailing.   I do however want to get 100 different cards done for the challenge so I'm going to keep going.   This sketch design is Viva La Verve January Week 4
