Booms and Bangs!

Celebrating the 4th of July was much more fun this year since I didn't end up in a hospital with a gall bladder attack.   I actually wasn't wishing for the fireworks to be over, LOL!  Of course,  we also enjoyed some firecrackers and bottle rockets at home ... tradition here in our household.    This terrific sketch was designed by Cheryl over at Even More Scrapping.  Even though we live hundreds of miles apart, the fun thing is we've met!  We were both in FL at the same time and had a TERRIFIC time over pancakes one morning!

The challenge over at Scrap Our Stash is "stars and stripes"!  Perfect timing for my July 4 page.  I needed a July page for the Scrap Our Month challenge at scrapbook.com.   I wanted to use the CTMH Superhero paper because it's going to retire this month and I haven't even opened the pack yet!  Figured I'd better get busy ...

Supplies:  CTMH Paper Superhero's,  CTMH Stamps July Word Puzzle, CTMH Ink Black, Cranberry, Sky,  CM Star Punch,  EK Success Zig Zag Punch

Crafty Weekend

I have lots to share with you tonight as I've had a crafty weekend .... first off ... a BIG WooHoo!! as I hit my "100 in 100" Challenge today.   It took me 37 days to do 107 crafty items.   I did cards and scrap pages!  This was such a FUN challenge and we had so much fun that we're keeping the Card-A-Day Blog group goin'.   Watch for more fun stuff coming!   This has been really motivating.

Here is my card I forgot to post last week for the H2H Challenge for 07/16/12.   Again I was playing with some old paper scraps, this is CTMH Silhouette.  Just wanted to use some neutrals.  I'll be back to share some of the fun scrap pages I finished this weekend

Supplies:  CTMH Silhouette CB,  CTMH Stamps Card Chatter - Sympathy, CTMH Ink Desert Sand, CTMH Butterfly, Opaque Pearls and Glitz Glue

Kindness

So often we get too busy to remember to appreciate when someone does something nice for us.  I often find myself thinking that late at night that I should have been more thankful for the little things .  I decided to make this week's CYAO25 cards for some gals at work who always seem to go above and beyond to help me out.  I do want them to know I really appreciate them.   The sketch this week is MOJO Monday #251.

This paper is some older CTMH scraps I had laying around from Boom-di-ada paper pack.  I really liked that Hollyhock Ric Rac from some reason,  Always look good.  Figure I better keep playing with some of the older stuff I have before all my new goodies start arriving,  LOL!

Supplies:   CTMH Boom-Di-Ada Papers, CTMH Stamps Sophia,  CTMH Ink Cocoa, Hollyhock, Olive, Sweet Leaf,  CTMH Sparkles Pink,  CTMH Cricut Cartridge Art Philosophy

Imagine

Hello Blog Friends!   I'm back and at my stamp/scrap table for more fun stuff created.   Somehow I forgot to share my card done on Wednesday (oops!).   I was inspired by this week's H2H Challenge for a "geometric" design and I went looking for a card sketch that would fit that.  I found Sweet Sunday #162 but didn't want to do square cards cuz I ran out of $.20 stamps for the extra postage and I wanted to mail off to the guys in my life so to make it work for the H2H challenge,  I just added an extra square :)

I used the CTMH Majestic Blues Paper and matching inks to try for a monochromatic "guy" card after I saw all the great monochromatic ideas over at Card A Day Blog.  I'm not sure that Lagoon color qualifies for blue but it went with the paper and I figured they knew more than me, LOL!    Stay Inspired!

Supplies:  CTMH Majestic Blues Paper Pack,  CTMH Stamps D1471 Cruisin',  CTMH Ink Moonstruck, Lagoon, Juniper,  CTMH Opaques Pearl,  CTMH Glitz Glitter

life is tweet

Hello from Pennsylvania!  I'm traveling this week for work but fortunately I had some extra time this weekend to get some fun stuff posted to my blog.  I really like how this card came out.  I think I'm going to have to dig for some more of these acrylic card bases because I sure am having a good time using them up.  TIPDon't take the plastic covering off until you are ready to adhere.   I had to keep wiping finger prints off as I moved and laid out the papers.

I used the i{heart}2stamp sketch and did another Color Challenge card for the Color My Heart color challenge for this week :  Orange, Green and Purple.   I had just enough scraps from an older paper pack of CTMH Enchanted to get this card done.   I used the June SOTM "Life Is Tweet".   I don't have July yet and love the birds in the June one so I'm sure I'll play more with those ... stay tuned!

Supplies:  All CTMH - Paper Enchanted,  Cardstock Garden Green,  Stamps "Make My Day",  Ink Petal, Garden Green,  Green Ribbon Round, Sparkles from Red/Purple Pack,  Glitter Glitz, Darice Dots emboss folder,  CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cart

bow wow

Happy Monday!   I thought it only appropriate to post my card for the Friday Sketch Challenge since I'm already dreaming of Friday.   Not sure what's up  (maybe hot sunny days?) but I sure don't feel like working lately.   I'd rather play, LOL!  I like my job,  don't get me wrong I 'm just not ready for Monday.

These colors were inspired by the Color My Heart Challenge this week to use Orange, Green and Purple or a combination of those.   Don't worry!  I have another card coming with the Purple.  You wouldn't think I would forget my favorite color?!   As you know if you've read my blog in the last few days,  I'm going to need masculine cards from now on ... this is the start.  It was perfect since it was the challenge over at Card A Day Blog for this month.   I'm also glad to say I dug these acrylic cards out of my stash for the goal of "100 in 100" I'm working on right now!

Stay Inspired!

Send Off

Today my nephew was sworn into the Navy about 0600 this morning!  I know he'll be great but it was so hard I'm sure for my Sis to think that her oldest baby is 18 and ready to go off to boot camp.   I'm praying and sending lots of positive vibes he'll love it.  He was excited and will be in Chicago for the next 6 weeks, then Connecticut.

My card sketch came from this week's Freshly Made Sketches and I found a fun new blogspot to follow for some great CTMH color challenges - Color My Heart. This week it was to take a current paper pack and add a color. I chose Florentine and added Barn Red. I really liked how it turned out. I got the idea from the Pals Paper Arts color Challenge.

Supplies: CTMH Paper Florentine, CS Barn Red, Cocoa, Stamps CTMH c1454 Horizon, Ink CTMH Barn Red, Desert Sand, Bamboo, Cocoa, Goldrush, CTMH Opaques Mocha, CTMH Brads

Christmas in July

Happy Holidays ... Happy Holidays!   Lots of folks must be thinking of the countdown to Christmas because our SCS Blog Hop Challenge for this week was holiday and the gals over at Paper Players were thinking Christmas in July.   Also, one of my stamping friends Patty was just named to the Design Team for the 52{Christmas} Card Throwdown so I've added it to my weekly challenge list and hope to get some inspiration going to get Holiday cards done early!   I've lots to do for me and Mom so that should work out Great.

I'm very pleased how my first holiday card turned out,  usually the first design is not one I'm keeping but this is the MOJO Monday 248 Sketch and I think it came out nice!   It's good to have 10 more cards done for the 100 in 100 Challenge I'm doing over on SCS!   Stay Inspired!
