Good Bye January

January 31 and just before it gets away from us I wanted to post another card using the CTMH January SOTM - Find Your Style and the Wings Creative Basics papers. Not that the papers are going away in February but I set a challenge to use the paper a much as I could in January. Usually I get the pack, use a couple pieces and the rest sits. I'm SO glad I spent the time playing with the SOTM and the papers! It was really fun to see all the different looks. Of course I'm not done yet but ... it was fun for January! February I'll be playing with the new CTMH Sweetheart papers like yesterdays sneak peek and some of the older stash I have. Lots of hearts coming up....LOL. This sketch is from last week's Mojo Monday #174. I didn't get to play since I was traveling. I also was inspired by a Karen's card I saw on the Mojo thread where she used butterflies instead of circles. Welcome 2011

This week H2H Scrap Sketch Challenge just clicked for me and I knew what picts I wanted to scrap using it. I decided since it was a page about my New Years Resolutions, I would use some of my favorite paper, Daydream. I just love the colors in this paper pack. I also used these pictures since it went with the SCS VSBN Challenge tonight. Supplies: CTMH Daydream, CTMH Stamps Make It Count, CTMH Shining Star, CTMH Designer Ric Rac, Cricut Calligraphy

Gone Too Long

Tonight's post is a quick one as I only had a few minutes to complete the card I needed. My day job is just taking up too much time right now, LOL! Of course, if I didn't have that, I wouldn't be able to enjoy this fun hobby I have, right?! I'm still playing with my CTMH Wings CB and January SOTM which I hope inspires you to order next week when it comes out in the new CTMH Idea Book, available for orders on Feb 1. It's such great colors for this time of year and the ribbon that comes with the pack is wonderful! This is my first card for the H2H Challenge this week which was "Time to Get Wild" and feature an animal, bird or even insect. Supplies: CTMH Wings CB, CTMH Jan SOTM "Find Your Style", CTMH Ink Garden Green, Twilight, Cocoa, CTMH Opaques

Organizing

So yes, if you looked at any of my recent posts you'll see that I've been very busy using my CTMH Wings Creative Basic papers and the January SOTM (Stamp of the Month) for various cards. So often, I order the package use a few of the papers and leave the last few pieces sitting. I'm challenging myself to use my Creative Basic paper while it's "new, fresh and fun" in as many cards and layouts as I can. I'm having fun so I hope to show off more cards with these versatile papers and YES! I broke out the new Spray Pens! If you haven't seen these yet, be sure to check out the CTMH new Idea Book (Feb 1) or the Inspirations Brochure out now for January! The sketch is from a new blog I found called Inkspirations Challenges.

Not that I mind having Scraps Left because ever since my scrap organization project last year, I use my scraps often. I have a Rubbermaid shelf that holds 3 bins. I took gallon size baggies and sorted my cardstock scraps by color family. The baggies are in the bin so it's SUPER easy to pull out, grab the baggie w/ the colors I'm looking for and use that paper. I then moved my printed paper scraps into my 12 inch boxes sorted by "Supplier". It's an easy way to grab those pieces also as I usually know what product I want for DSP to add. It's really reduced my Scraps that were sitting around because they're all easy to get to!!

The Challenge on H2H this week is to share an Organization Tip and I have to tell you, this process works AWESOME for me. I'd show you a picture but my scrap room is in disarray this week and my DH is working on enhancing my scrap closet with larger shelves and painting my room. It's my birthday present and I'm THRILLED! Don't worry, I'll be back to show it off when it's done! Home for the Holiday

My oldest DS was home from college for Christmas Break. It took him a few days to get caught up on sleep and get into the "relaxation" mode but wow, when it hit him, he was ready. He was full of fun and ready to party. He went to friends for the weekend to go to a concert and spent many nights around home with friends at Christmas parties. It was good to see the goofy, fun side come out while he was taking a break enjoying the holiday! This sketch is from a new-to-me site I just found, Twisted Sketches. I'm always looking for a sketch to use as it sure saves time and gets my creative mojo for the page jump started. Find Your Style

Tonight I had the chance to play with my new January goodies -- CTMH Wings Paper and SOTM Find Your Style. I loved the samples they had in the Inspirations brochure but decided to keep playing and find other ideas for cards I could complete. This sketch is from the Sweetest Thing Sunday Sketch. I'm sure I'll use it again as it's really cute! I'm really enjoying these papers, colors and stamps! Supplies: CTMH Paper Wings CB, CTMH Stamps Find Your Style, CTMH Ink Sweet Leaf, Twilight, New England Ivy, Cocoa, CTMH Opaques

Scrappy TGIF!

I'm so glad it's Friday although next week I'm on the road traveling for work so I'll be even busier than this week. Tonight however it was time for some scrappin' and fun! I used the sketch at the new Scrapping H2H Challenge. Thanks Mary for the fun sketch. I ordered these picts from my OU Sports Website. They're of my son cheering at the OH B-Ball Game. I wasn't sure what to do with these picts because once I got them they were quite busy but I think this layout worked out. It's also been ages since I've used these papers that have been sitting in my stash so yay for using Stash! I can't imagine scrapping without CTMH Flip Flaps now! They are SO versatile for scrappers like me that want to use all the pictures. That's what's so nice, I can use all my picts and still just do 2 pages. Supplies: CTMH BT Papers Autumn Harvest,

It's A Scrappy Evening!

I had time tonight to finish up a layout I started a couple weeks ago. I love when they're done! This paper is SO FUN to play with! I'm wishing I had more Halloween pages to scrap but will have to stretch my creativity and use it with other pictures as it's just SO cute. Not to mention my youngest DS Favorite color is Orange ... it's perfect! Supplies: CTMH Hooligans Paper, CTMH Hooligans Stick Ease, CTMH Ink Sunset, Pear and Gypsy, CTMH Stamps Classmate Alpha

Oh Yeah, New Goodies!

FedEx showed up at my door early this week but
I challenged myself to wait until this weekend to open the box and finish up some past projects. Well....I almost made it, Wednesday is close, right? LOL! Today was such a snowy, blowy day it just seemed like a good time to open the box. Oohhh...wow! The new CTMH Wings papers are SO BEAUTIFUL! I just had to play. I used the sketch at Sketch Saturday and my new paper and CTMH Find Your Style stamps. Ooo-La-La...I like it! Supplies: CTMH Paper Wings CB, CTMH Stamps Find Your Style, CTMH Chipboard, CTMH Opaques

Good Times...Shared!

Tonight I actually had time to complete the Sassy Lil' Sketch Challenge for this week. Unfortunately, my Cricut has quit working...it just won't power up so I had to get creative to get a title and some embellishment on this page. Stamps, sparkles and doodles will have to do for now. Supplies: CTMH Evensong Paper, CTMH Stamps Magical Season, Doodle Alphabet, CTMH Holiday Tags

Thanks!

We're gearing up here for another Major Winter Storm so I'm in a "snow" kind of mood however the H2H Challenge was for the colors Pear, Sky and Colonial White. That led to a more "Spring" kind of card but that's ok because this card is going south and I needed a Thank You Card. Just what I needed! It's a perfect mix of old and new because the corner punch, little heart and paper are older and the embossing folder, ribbon and stamps are new. This cute sketch came from SCS Viva la Verve Sketch Challenge for this week. Supplies: CTMH CS Sky, Pear, Miracle DSP, CTMH Stamps A Little Thanks, CB Emboss Folders, CTMH Embellishments

Scrappin' This Weekend

Woohoo, had some time to finish some scrap layouts this weekend. Of course, I started with some of my favorite picts from the holiday. LOL! Brand, what a character. I was so surprised when he came home with this crazy holiday tee shirt. Not his usual style but definitely cute and fun. He had a great time at the Christmas parties he went to and it was fun to see Nick. The layout came from a sketch from the new Sketch Support Blog. This is also my first layout for my friend Cheryl's Even More Scrapping Blog 52 Week Friday Challenge. She was inspired by our friend Jen (her blog Jen's Jewel Box). So I'm joining them and going to try to upload a scrap layout every Friday. 1 down, at least 51 to go...Fun, Fun! Snow Days!

This week and next we're supposed to have snow every day! Wow! I was so surprised when we got 5 more inches of snow Friday night. It just suddenly started coming down heavy. I'm going to have to pay attention to the weather. The nice part about that is that it's pretty when you're home and watching it out the window. Today was a good day to just get stuff done at home and enjoy some scrap and stamp time. When I saw this stamp, I knew I wanted to use it this weekend. It was just what I needed to complete the Mojo Monday 172 Challenge. Also had fun using up scraps from my Aspen pack of paper. Supplies: CTMH Aspen Paper, CTMH Snow Days Stamps, CTMH Sparkles and Bitty Sparkles, MM Snowflake Brads

Happy New Year!

Woohoo, welcome 2011! I am looking for it to be another crafty year...hoping for more consistency. This last year seem to have some "crazy spots" for work and I hope to have those evened out this year. I think I'll be better prepared, at least that's what I'm hoping. Although, life has a way a throwing a curve or 2... I was planning to spend last evening making some cards and only got to finish up 1 because BR announced he had to leave back for college at 0700! I had been planning to leave about 1600 so this was quite a change. Fortunately, I was able to finish up my card AND get him packed up for his return to OU. This card is for MOJO171. It's also for my first upload for our January Challenge to be crafty daily. I only had time for a card BUT it was fun to get it done. I used the CTMH Acrylic Cards. Happy New Year! Here's to more fun stamping and scrapping for 2011! Supplies: CTMH Holiday Fun, CTMH Magnifique Paper, CTMH Acrylic Card, Staz On Timber Brown Ink, Stickles, CTMH Sparkles

Day 2 -- I miss ya
